Whatever your point of entry into Nova Scotia, a road trip will be involved in getting to Mabou Ridge. There are several ports of entry in Nova Scotia. If travelling by ferry, you may enter in Yarmouth, Digby, Pictou, or North Sydney. You may also come by cruise ship to either Halifax or Sydney.
To get to Mabou Ridge from all points other than Sydney or North Sydney, you will need to travel to the Canso Causeway and travel the number 19 highway northward. The beautiful scenic drive along Cape Breton's western coast is not to be missed!
From Sydney and North Sydney, you'll need to travel westwardly for approximately 153 kilometres (95 miles) or 136 kilometres (84 miles) respectively.
