Where to Find Us By Air | By Sea | By Land By Mail Civic Address Mabou Ridge Centre 891 Southwest Ridge, RR2 Mabou Ridge, NS Canada B0E 1X0 P: 902.945.2171 Mabou Ridge Centre is located on an 80-acre property in Mabou Ridge, Cape Breton. Its many assets include a pristine environment, minutes from the ocean, on the western coast of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where local music, dance, and Gàidhlig culture are alive and well. The 150-year-old farm is situated on the crest of Mabou Ridge with splendid views of farmland and woods. The dwelling, a workshop, wood shed, garden house, chicken coop, two small barns, and a large 10,000 square-foot, two-storey barn occupy the edge of the property layout. This property is highlighted in the heritage property book written by James O. St. Clair, Pride of Place (see MacPherson-Gillis House). As a note of interest, Cape Breton was rated as 2nd in the world out of 115 destinations (next to the Norwegian Fjords) as a place for sustainable tourism in the March 2004 issue of National Geographic Traveller Magazine.
