Picking and Carding
Charges for batts and rovings include the process of picking and carding. Please be sure to send samples of rovings or yarns if you wish us to match them in weight and thickness.
Blending
Blending for rovings or batts can be done at either the picking or carding process, but a more complete blend will be accomplished if done during the picking process. When done at the picking stage, for example, differently coloured fibres will will have a more complete blend and will appear more heterogeneous. When done at the carding stage, colours appear more motled.
We can also combine different fibers to make a unique blend for you. These can be your own or we can provide wool, llama, alpaca, and mohair for blending with yours. Prices vary for the type of fibre.
