Mabou Ridge Centre custom processes a wide range of natural fibres into batts, rovings, felt, and yarn.
We can process a wide range of natural fibres in quantities from less than a pound up to any required amount. Producers can have their own fibre returned to them, which is not possible from large commercial mills because it is either cost prohibitive, or because their fibre is “grouped” with other producers’ fibre to facilitate mass quantities.
Our services include: washing, picking and carding, spinning, plying, dyeing, and felting. We can provide yarns in either cones or skeins.
We have no minimum amount of fibre we will process and, with everyone’s best interest in mind, reserve the right to refuse any fibre that does not meet quality standards. Please see our section on Factors Affecting Fibre for Processing.
