Shearing Sheep | Shearing the Sheep (or Angora Goat)

Shearing the topknot5. Topknot: Sit the sheep back up again and place your right leg between the legs of the sheep. The sheep’s right foreleg should be behind your right knee for balance and control. Being sure that your comb starts flat on the skin, take your first stroke, starting on the side closest to you, from the outside of the face up to the ear, then from the outside of the face furthest from you to the ear, and then, if necessary, up the centre. Shearing the topknot will vary from sheep to sheep given the amount of wool and whether the sheep is polled or horned.
